Ingrid Matthews from Wyoming has been declared the winner to the “I LUv RI” photography contest. The “Water Ballet” photograph was selected from among the piles of entries it received for the competition. The contest was carried out by a joint venture of Washington Trust and the Rhode Island Monthly Magazine.
Matthews adds, “Visitors travel far for what we have behind our very own backyard. Rhode Island has been blessed with magnificent coastline which is one of the best on the East Coast. There is no better way in order to spend a day as compared to watching the magnificent sights and sound in any one of the Rhode Island mesmerising beaches. People can opt for walk of leisure, pull up some Tan in the sun, go for a swim, take a magical view of the sunset or catch the surfers in action dancing to the tunes of the waves. There cannot be anything better than this.”
Joseph MarcAurele the trust chairman of the Washington post adds that the Matthews photo naturally captures the soul of the Rhode Island. She has added one more magical story board to the collection of images that has won the competition till date. In true words she has defined the spirit of love for this place we call Home.
